New Arnage layout

This is a photo of the new road and roundabout (Green arrows) for general traffic. The racing cars will still used the old bit of road (for how long I wonder). However the old viewing area (that famous little hill) is no longer available. At least this is my understanding.

That certainly will take something away to the pleasure of watching the cars from behind accelerating. Especially at night.

Obviously the road planners are not race enthusiasts.

Shame.

I shall write and complain to the ACO (my club) and suggest they erect a stand where the old viewing area was.

Tequila Patron ESM

Just like last year the Tequila Patron ESM team is changing livery for the the Le Mans 24H on the 2 Ligiers JS P2. I was looking forward to the green monsters. Actually, they do not look that bad.

 

Toyota at Spa

For the first time in the history of the WEC, that new TS050 car did a complete lap at SPA purely on electrical power.

The Toyotas showed again they can win after their lead at the beginning of the race before being plagued by mechanical failures.

Let us hope they fix it for Le Mans.

WEC Spa 6 Hours

Quite an eventful prelude the Le Mans 24H. I think the team have plenty to do before June. Very pleasing to see the results of the Rebellion of which one was on the podium.
